L’IMPERATRICE (FR) - 2024 TOUR
The French pop and disco band L'Impératrice was formed in Paris back in 2012. Since then, the sextet has been igniting enchanting dance parties with their catchy, French-language hits. Keyboardist Charles de Boisseguin founded the band out of a desire for more organic, disco-based sounds and grooves, at a time when the Parisian music scene was dominated by electronic artists.
Drummer Tom Daveau and bassist David Gaugué form the cornerstone of the band's driving and insistent groove. They are joined by two additional keyboardists and a guitarist, who add enchanting melodies played on vintage equipment.
L'Impératrice had their major breakthrough with their third EP, Odyssée, released in 2015, which marked the addition of the exceptional jazz singer Flore Benguigui to the group. Since then, they have toured extensively, including multiple visits to Sweden. Most recently, they performed at this year's Way Out West Festival.
In December, the Swedish audience will once again have the chance to put on their dancing shoes with L'Impératrice when they take the stage at FÅLLAN. After selling out Debaser in 2022, this time it's FÅLLAN that will be transformed into a French disco party.
