Since her debut “Intruder” in 2024, Wilma Holmes has emerged as a rising star on Sweden’s indie horizon. Moving effortlessly between the melancholic storytelling of americana and the melodic precision of indie pop, she crafts songs that cut deep, finding their way beneath even the most unyielding surface.
Wilma Holmes is now entering her most personal chapter yet. With her forthcoming album “Transience,” she drifts through the hazy landscapes of memory in a restless attempt to hold on to what once was and to what still lingers and aches. In early April, she released the first single, “Lonesome Night at Sunstreet,” featuring Norwegian country icon Ole Kirkeng. The full album will be released on September 18, followed by an extensive release tour throughout the Nordic countries, marking the next chapter for an artist stepping onto the wider Nordic music scene.

Sedan debuten “Intruder” 2024 har Wilma Holmes med sin hjärtslitande röst gjort sig känd som en stigande stjärna på den svenska indie-himlen. I gränslandet mellan americanans melankoliska berättande och indiepopens melodiska träffsäkerhet, skapar hon musik som obevekligt letar sig in även hos den mest hårdhudade lyssnaren.
Just nu står Wilma Holmes mitt i sitt mest personliga kapitel hittills. Med det kommande albumet “Transience” rör hon sig genom minnets dimbankar, i ett rastlöst försök att hålla fast vid det som en gång var och det som fortfarande skaver. I början av april släpptes första singeln “Lonesome Night at Sunstreet” som gästas av den norska countryikonen Ole Kirkeng. Albumet släpps i sin helhet den 18 september och följs av en omfattande releaseturné runt i Norden.
