Max Cooper (UK)
Max Cooper is an electronic composer, multi- disciplinary artist, music label founder and former scientist who has carved out a unique space in music and visual art. He holds a PhD in computational biology at the same time as being the first contemporary electronic musician to perform at the ancient Acropolis theatre in Athens and one of the first clutch of musicians to produce in Dolby Atmos.
Cooper's newest release ’On Being’, an exploration of the "desperate experience of being human", is his tenth studio album. Crafted over two years, gathering thousands of anonymous quotes to use as creative fuel, this is Cooper's first attempt to use the experiences of his audience as inspiration for his music rather than attempting to influence his audience's experiences with his music. "I hadn't realised the impact that other people's words would have on me." Pivoting from computational biology to electronic music might not seem like the most natural career transition, but for Cooper the commonalities are obvious: "In both fields, you're in a sense, free. Free from the limits of living systems, free
from the limits of corporeal sound. The only constraints are in your mind."

Evan Gildersleeve (UK)
Evan Gildersleeve is emerging as a distinctive voice in electronic composition. His music explores the intersection between emotive storytelling and immersive sound design, often shining a light on challenging aspects of the human experience.
As a frequent collaborator, Evan has contributed towards projects from some of the most celebrated figures in modern music, including Jónsi of Sigur Rós and the late Jóhann Jóhannsson.
His glimmering debut Mortal arrived in 2020 through London label Human Worth, offering a gentle meditation on solitude, the conflict of isolation and the transformative impact of nature on a fragile mind.
The following year saw Evan score Tom Wakeling’s award-winning film Pattern. A kaleidoscopic portrait of obsessive thought spirals that sparked a fascination with manipulating the voice. The film became an official selection at London’s prestigious Raindance Film Festival in 2023.
Evan’s expansive compositions would go on to catch the ear of acclaimed electronic artist Max Cooper, who’d invite the composer to join his venerable Mesh imprint the following year.
Wake arrives early 2025, marking Evan’s most introspective work to date. A deeply personal account, documenting a turbulent period of self-recovery and exploring the power of collective empathy.
2024 also saw the release of the mind-bending Female Captive. Featuring an acrobatic performance from Pauline Chalamet and a groundbreaking score, created entirely from manipulations of the voice. A project for which Evan enlisted the talents of leading New York experimentalist Lea Bertucci.
Further projects include collaborations with Icelandic Composer Gabríel Ólafs, Bedroom Community’s Paul Corley and 130701 artist Shida Shahabi.
In addition, Evan’s music can be heard in innovative campaigns for the likes of BMW, Hummer and BAFTA.
